CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Let think... What changes can we do to our faculty?

First, about the subjects that we have (archiecture). In my opinion, I think the orden of the all the subjects that we should take in architecture is fine, but I feel that there is missing (a little) in the subject of landscaping that is often omitted. Always dedicating our time in designing a building or creating a master plan in the area of urbanism (always taking the buildings, the city). At least, in my part I would like to experiment more the are of landscaping, it is the area that most attracts my attention.

What happen with the time? How we spend our time? In this theme I have a conflict. Almost all workshop teachers think that they have the most important subject (I think is true) but they want to us to dedicate all our time to their subject and they say that we must not sleep, this is a problem, can cause health problems. In the other subjects I do not have any problem, each teacher know about the time that we spend on workshop, and they give us work that we can adjust in our time.

The other is about the building here we studying. I like the building but they need to improve the infrastructure. We need spaces that we feel comfortable to work. Example, for winter the faculty have heaters but, now, summer with the all sun, does not have anything in the classroom, nor a fan to help us pass the heat. Or... think the bathroom (in my cases the one of women) I don't feel comfortable to go there, for me is a bit disgusting.

What do u think about hte programs, computers, the technology in our faculty? Here I could say that it is well implemented. The university helps us with some programs for our own computers or they have a laboratory where they provide us with all the programs we need to do our jobs. But... we need to be so careful to choice our pc 'cause in my career (architecture) the Mac (apple inc.) is not so much good, I can not install some programs that I need (Example, Robot Structural AutoDesk), is so much better to have a Windows. And the other, in some programs we need to have a license to use it and the university does not give one. So that is a problem... If the career need all this programs, please, the university facilitates us to have it.

And finally with our teachers. Each teacher has his own way of teaching us, some can be very strict, others more didactic, participative, etc. But they accomplish with their job. 
I had some problems with a few teachers, they method was so different and complicated compared to others that make more difficult to understand.
And the others teachers are so kind. If we do not get to understand something of the matter, they take the time to explain us well, step by step. We need more teachers like that.

    finally workshop is a subject where all knowlegde come together (it's amazing) or it should be haha

    oh my god, i didn't now about the programs thing in architecture, that is terrible. about the sleep deprivation... yes, that something really bad in workshop

    It's impressive the academic charge that we have, we just don't sleep jajajaja also we would have more courses about landscape, it is an important and big field

    I think almost the same, we have a lot of thing to improve, specially in infrastructure I believe.

English Language Challenges

I must admit that it has never been too complicated for me to have to learn or read english, although I often forget certain words that make reading difficult. The blogs that we have been writing during the semester have helped me a lot in re-understanding and knowing the meaning of several words, it makes it much easier for me to write and read. A country I'd like to visit

Today, in this post I will talk about a country that I would like to visit. My biggest dream is travel to around the world, so I would like to visit so many countries, but the principal is USA. First... I have never traveled outside of Chile... Well, one time. To Brazil for a study trip, but I don't consider it because it didn't feel like a trip for me, it was like to be in Santiago with my school class. Since I was like 10 years old, I dreamer to visit New York city. The culture has always struck me, is like a new world for me, and maybe for other peoples. Meet the famous places of the world, like the Time Squares, Empire States, Central Park, etc. I watch so many TV Series, all with the ambient of United States, show a different life compared to Chile, a life that I want. Also, I have so many friends who have traveled there, they told me their experience, so wonderful. And  I watched some videos on Youtube of people who lives or visited there, giving me more desir...

Postgraduate studies

A postgraduate course that I would consider taking in the future.  Honestly, I never think about to study something when I will finish this career (architecture) but If I will like to study something different about the architecture... and that is Astronomy. I don't think so much about the postgraduate but it will so cool if in some way to be able to relate. Well... I've always wanted to take a course in this area to learn more about the universe, like the course that do the university sometimes every years, or go to a Talk and exhibition.  One Time, near to my home, the mayor did an exhibition with an astronomer who talk about this area and show the planet Saturn to all the people who wanted ( in that day it was so close to the Earth) with telescopes installed in the place. I found out in the same day and I could not go for the time (so sad). I remember when I was in the school, in Physics, we have a content about Astronomy, to explain differents phase of ...
